I think you have this all wrong he does stuff like this just to rile fan bases up. But it could be true because we don't know what some ******* has said about his wife or daughter and he is not afraid to clap back especially since he just sold the ringer to spotify.
Someone else posted the time frame, take a listen for yourself. He even added a fake a country accent to talk down to us. I just don’t want to support Bill Simmons anymore.
Dude he just sold the ringer to spotify and he has made major bucks since being fired by ESPN. Don't be that kind a hater.
Hard pass from me. I’ve listened to his stuff for awhile but this one seemed very personal. I don’t care if people don’t like the rockets style, but don’t sit there and claim you are trying to be unbiased.
Go ahead and support them then. I’ll still download individual content from their site but I unsubscribed.
the Big Picture is incredible. The pop culture portion of the Ringer is unrivaled. Simmons used to be great but he’s gone sour on the Rockets. Morey is still friends with him too which makes it that much more curious.
If you think Windhorst's beef with Morey or Houston just started, you weren't paying attention to him before that.
Been off on the ringer ever since they gave that clown Chris Vernon a show. haley o'shaughnessy could get it tho...
Didn't the ringer just post a pretty insightful Rockets column? Same company, different opinions. Whatever.
To be fair, yes he sold the Ringer to Spotify for 200 mils. But his gig at HBO is a complete disaster also. So it’s not like everything became good after he touched it.
The irony about Simons selling the Ringers is because the staffs formed a writer union. So that’s your same company and different opinions thing.
The best NBA Podcast is SI: Open Floor. It was definitely the best when it was Ben Golliver & Andrew sharp. For us Rockets fans it was very interesting. Golliver was always a Moreyball supporter, and Sharp absolutely hated the Rockets. It was a great dynamic when they talked about the Rockets. Now "Open Floor" is Golliver and Michael Pena. Golliver (who always wanted harden to win MVP over Rus) is a big Rus hater. The second we traded for Rus, Golliver switched his tune on the Rockets and now thinks they are a 2nd tier team. Michael Pena on the other hand picked the rockets to win the title. The podcast is a little boring now that whacky Andrew Sharp is no longer there, but there is some very intelligent conversations.
I was just listening and at the 1:09 mark of his podcast w rusillo he says that he has changed his mind and now guarantees that the rockets win the title
