If everyone is healthy... it will depend on how predictable Harden is on the offense. If too predictable, 1st or 2nd round exit if we are in 4 or 5 seed. If the ball is moving and harden is mixing it up (threes, layups, teardrops, relentless attacks), we will have what it takes to go to the finals. It's not as simple as this, there are many variables, but this to me has a lot to do with it. Without a traditional center, defenders don't need to worry about Harden lobs so it's easier to guard him on the three-point line.
Based on what this team is capable of doing, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect they'll make the WCF. Effort and matchups will be our biggest concerns.
if everyone's healthy this team can beat anyone in the Western Conference. They will still have trouble with the Bucks though.
no until we had wrapped up signing a legit starting C and 1-2 more quality backup pf/sf, did i click any of the checkboxes. roster tweak undone. keeping a third of our roster i.e. tyson, harty,Howard, frazier, clemons nailed on the bench or merely off bench for some garbage time, can neither take burdon off our starters' shoulder, nor ensuring a healthy team. upmost a 1st - 2nd round exit in that way.
Depends on if we play smart and make the necessary adjustments as a series goes on... or if we stubbornly 'just play our game' and force philosophy (small ball, 50+ 3s, short rotation) over playing the actual situation... Stubborn gimmickry will prob get us a 1st or 2nd rd exit... Intelligent game planning and adjusting - and the world is our oyster... Imo... we're in the WCFs or Finals - or we'll be rid of MDA once and for all...
This is correct. Just wait. Once Gordon comes back, the basketball gods will take another member of the team from us. It is simply a matter of time. Embrace the void
I really don't know what to expect - They could win it all or they could get trounced and bounced in the first round. This small ball experiment .... Its crazy risky but the potential reward is a championship if a couple guys besides Harden and Westbrook get hot in the post season. They can beat any team in the league .... or not. I'm just gonna kick back and watch MDA's mad experiment in what is likely his last season as an NBA coach. He's going out playing the way he's wanted to for the last 15 years. It's a lot more interesting to watch than ISO ball.
Depends on the effort and decision making. Keyword is sustaining. Can we sustain high levels of defensive effort and will WB continue to make smart choices? Can we do these things the second half? For a whole series? Entire playoffs? We’ll see. I sure hope so.
