What the hell do you want? There have been tributes left and right for him. The Rockets mentioned it and we move on. He didn't even play or coach for the Rockets. The NBA lost a top 20 player all time in the prime of his life in a terrible accident. Games have been postponed, ESPN has had wide spread coverage. Multiple outlets and people have paid tribute. Hell there has been more on him in the USA than there were when Nelson Mandela passed. There has been plenty of respect given to him and anyone complaining at this point isn't paying attention.
99% of these people didn't KNOW Kobe Bryant. They were not friends with him, he wasn't a relative or coworker. They watched him play basketball on television and some saw him play in person it. It is sad but if you find your self overwhelmed that a basketball player with a checkered past died in a terrible accident then get help. Worry about your family and friends that are sick or dying. Worry about the people you actually know. Worry about exceptionally good people like Nelson Mandela that passed.... hell worry about the children that died, or all the people in China being shoved into concentration camps.
This right here! I think at this point the entire family has turned off their TVs and radios and computers. Probably their phones and social media too. Everyone grieves differently but at this point having it in their face everywhere they go could not be easy. Someone just lost their father, husband, sister, bestfriend, hero. I think people need to respect that and let them move on as quickly as possible. It is sad but life and the show must go on. Basketball will go on. So will the lives of their loved ones.
I guess it's my punishment for making such a bad thread that every member of clutchfans lets me know exactly how **** my take was. Let's get it over with quickly then. @Clutch can you hook me up with a new thread title? "Come tell WestendMassive how dumb he is" should work
That is a great idea. Perhaps we should require Tillman to get a face tattoo that says "Black Mamba 4 Eva".
You have the ability to edit the title yourself. Go to your first post (the OP). Upper right of the post is a Thread Tools submenu. Click that.
Look, I agree 100%. I’m not one to get too upset about these kind of things. I was just pointing out that some people do get very emotional when a celebrity or sports figure passes. People are different. It hits some people harder than others.
60+ posts and 4 pages later you finally talk some sense. btw..., +1 from me for OP's suggestion @Clutch
+1 for this suggestion. Would not have clicked and had my IQ drop by reading the OP if I knew what the topic was really about. The fact that someone actually manage to watch I assume 30 pregame shows just to hear 30 different team announcers mourn Kobe is downright creepy
