Do you think we will keep Dream?

    How about.. no?

It would take some kind of miracle to pull that off. I wouldn't be worrying about this too much since there is that big chance we won't even get Webber.

Dream will not be Rocket again, he made that very clear when he hired Fegan(is that his name?) as his agent -- and even more clear when he stated about how it's either him or Chris Webber. Can anybody else read Dreams angle, here? I can. He wants to have long term security and a steady stream of Ben Franklins, and maybe, just maybe, God willing, another championship if things pan out right. is this wrong? No? But why on earth would the Rockets offer a 2, 3, 4, yr. contract to a a 38 yr. old man with limp knees?

Fellas, it's time to stop being nostalgic and get realistic -- The Dream is over!

I stated previously and still feel strongly that C-Webb is the wrong guy for us. I would rather see us make a "competitive" offer to Dream, so that in the PR arena the Rockets will not suffer. If we offer him two years at $5-6 mil, and pull of a trade for another big body (Antonio Davis), and draft a usable rookie with the our remaining pick, we will definitely be back in the running for a first round bye

what makes people think antonio davis is leaving toronto???

please fill me in to anything negative he has said about toronto.

he has a SUPERSTAR there with him.
he's in the east - where he can play well in the paint.
    he has a great coach.
he has a young, talented surrounding team.

so why do people keep suggesting that we could get him?

I think that Dream will play for the CBA next year.

He may not have said anything negative, but he is concerned about his kids growing up and learning Canadian history instead of U.S. history. Plus there is another team that can offer him a lot of money, and the same thing, and that is Orlando. In fact they have TWO superstars.

Dream's destination has everything to do with what the market OFFERS. Ain't capitalism great!

Honestly, I can't seem too many people willing to risk CAP dollars on a recently injury-prone big man. Not even Houston is willing to do that.

Who can afford to that is closer to the finish line?

Orlando. Dream and Shandon in a sign and trade for Mike Miller and John Ameche. Will it work? Would you do it?
