I think the Bulls ideal is good one. I would initiate a sign and trade for Cato and Mo Taylor to Chicago for Brand just to get rid of Cato's contract. I would also throw in Walt Williams and accept Artest from a defensive point of view. However, I must comment on Matt Maloney's situation, once again the front office (CD and Rudy) is paying a player who didn't deserve the money (i.e., Cato). In addition, the fact that he's married to Rudy's daughter doesn't hurt either. We must have better player making decision if we are going to compete in the West for championships. I do not see Kobe or Shaq breaking up soon and if Chris Webber signs for $4.5 mil (he has enough money) it's over for the league. ------------------
RocketAddict ------------------------------------------ and add Christian Laetner to back up the 3 and 4. ------------------------------------------- I know this is my first post of which I hope to add many too, but please NEVER include the Rockets and Laetner in the same sentence. ------------------
Kelvin Cato belongs in a girl's basketball team, he should play for the comets maybe then he could be considered a good center, no doubt.
Cato is the worst excuse for an NBA player I have ever seen. No work ethic whatsoever, no hands and no shot. Yes the guy does have potential, but he will never reach it because he has no desire to. His contract was one of the worst signing moves in franchise history (next to Pippen). I think right now the Rockets would trade Cato for a concession worker if they had the chance. ------------------ "Hakeem dusted my but", Shaquille O'Neal regarding Hakeem in the 95 Finals
