There’s plenty of blame to go around.
Dantoni certainly deserves some of it just from a consistency standpoint.

Maybe in this game in a vacuum he wasn’t a huge factor, but the way he runs this team is part of what leads to games like this.

This team is capable of missing another 27 3's. That should tell you that Morey hasn't done a good job addressing the problem of 2 seasons ago. House will hit a no-pressure open three, but make no mistake he misses a LOT of wide open threes at critical time. I haven't checked but House should be shooting in mid 40s from three bcse most of his shots are wide open.

Draymond must have kryptonite, Capela disappears against the Warriors. I think he can't backup his talk years ago.

Yea yea bro....ive heard it all before, if you wanna crticize Harden, just do it for his defense cause it was soft as hell tonight.

He couldn't attack the rim all that much. They literally doubled teamed in at half court. I said it was on Westbrook to carry the Rockets to victory at the start of the 4th quarter and he was just struggling like hell.

There's no way this is on Harden. He had his team on a 3v4 situation for most of the game. He scored a lot of tough points and he made the right passes.

Not even Jordan or Kobe got this type defensive treatment that Harden is getting. Take out Harden and you stop the Rockets. This is why he's been basically MVP for the past 5 seasons.

Westbrick being Westbrick. I knew when Russ got chin checked after he got called for the offensive fouls for dribbling into the double team he was going to chuck the next shot no matter what.

Screw MDA and his lack of adjustment to the Kerr Harden half court double. Embarrasing that MDA could not adjust after an entire game. Kerr took out your best player and you did nothing to stop him. Just let Kerr do anything he wanted like a $2 w****.

He didn’t make a single adjustment.

    Trying Tyson for 2 minutes isn’t an adjustment, it’s a prayer .

If his 7 man rotation isn’t working he has no clue .

How about if your guys are having trouble executing a 4-3 then you run some plays for Russ with the ball and James off ball ?

How about if your 35 year old PF has been playing a bunch of 40 minute games , give your backup more than 3 minutes a half ?

How about if your backup center has been on the bench for a month , don’t expect him to find his rhythm in 2 minutes ?

Mda is our leader , how is our lack of effort not a reflection on that ?

He’s not putting more players in a position to succeed .

I don't think it is minuscule at all though because the refs are part of any game and affect any game and should be held to same standards as the players on the court.

Another trend is the Rockets in these games ALWAYS get in the penalty once the 4th starts, it's like clockwork, tweet tweet tweet on a bunch of offball fouls and we're in the penalty before we can blink. It's sad because people in the these threads literally predict it happening.

It's sad because I feel even if the Rockets play well they simply won't be allowed to beat the Clippers or Lakers in a playoff series, we're going to get one or two games in that series where we get completely ****** over and because you saying right now "It doesn't matter" means it won't matter then either.

Eric Gordon would have been very helpful in this game.

Maybe he should pay the tax. Save himself some humiliation. We have inconsistent role players, so we will have some inconsistent production. We had wide open looks all night. MDA can't make shots for them. Tilman needs to look in the mirror.

Also, the media isn't even going to talk about this game moving forward. No one other than Rocket fans and the NBA standings care about this game. They didn't even mention it on the Jump because they know it was some fluke game that doesn't represent either teams true abilities.

Dude, what I'm criticizing is central to why the Rockets fall apart so often when defenses through a wrench into the Rockets offense such as double Harden on isos or do a hard hedge only guarding his left side and allowing him to walk into the mid range area. When teams do that, the offense falls apart.

Because when teams double Harden when he just standing there, it allows them to recover quickly so it isn't much of a 4 on 3 anymore. It also forces guys like Tucker and House to do iso dribble moves which they aren't comfortable doing. Notice how when they double Harden, they allow the unguarded player to freely operate around the free throw line. It forces them to play a Draymond Green type point forward role that they aren't comfortable playing.

Harden moving off ball would make defenses have to make constant decisions of when to switch and when not to and that can lead to mistakes for the defenss. It's how Warriors when Curry and Klay run around like mad men get teammates open looks because it causes defenses to make mistakes when trying to fight through screens or switch.
