That would be badass, it seems like whenever he’s hurt is always a season-ender. Would be nice to see him come back this year.
And he is one of the most torn-up, physically. I know pro football players daily deal with a level of pain I can't even fathom, and have done so ever since the game became more of a job than fun. That said, even a rock eventually crumbles. It's hard to recover from an injury and get to where they were before. It gets much harder after 30. Add possible CTE exposure, as well as just wanting to be able to pick his toddlers up without crying, and I've long thought his next major injury would be his last one as an NFL player.
He's a professional football player, that's what he does. If he's healthy I would love to have him back for the playoff run.
The Houston Chronicle confirms J.J. Watt (torn pectoral, injured reserve) would not return before the postseason. Mr. Texans John McClain reports "those close" to Watt "believe there’s a good chance he could be activated from injured reserve in the playoffs." Coach Bill O'Brien was noncommittal on Watt's status earlier this week, while all reports have focused on him returning in the postseason at the earliest. Even were Watt to give it a go for the Wild Card Round, it is a safe assumption he would be on a strict snap count. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...-J-J-Watt-was-ready-for-playoffs-14920078.php
Well respected MD on Texans Talk says that Watt coming back would be insanity- and he's always right about injuries.
Even the mind games of teams having the prepare for him is welcome. The spectre of JJ is a chess piece in itself
