Well, at least be thankful we won in 2017. Still, not all hope is lost. But sad that we're letting Scherzer have an easy inning of work.
He hasn’t spotted any of his breaking balls and Soto had tagged him earlier. It was pretty clear he wasn’t going back next inning with 10 base runners in less than 5 innings at that point. I’m not going to harp on it, but it was pretty clear we were playing with fire, especially falling behind in the count.
Cole shouldn't be giving up 5 runs. This one isn't on the bats. They do need to give him support though.
Baseball games come down to getting hits with men in scoring position....and the Astros f****** suck at it!!!!!
I switched to Fox Desportes after that inning. Much better. Couldn't stand hearing any more gushing praise of Soto, even though he's earned it. I fear for the cleanup crew in the broadcast booth after this game.
F. Who would have guessed Scherzer would get the first 1-2-3 inning after the first inning? And, that ends Gurriel's streak of not striking out. Still impressive, and he's been making some of the best contact/productive at bats. Very pathetic offense though.
