Here's a fearless prediction: Thabo will be to this team what Luc was to the Rockets the lone year he was here but without the injuries. Also: Any NBA player that risks his ankles by playing exclusively in Air Max 90s (a running shoe that originally came out almost 30 years ago) is a hardcore MF
This guy is the complete opposite of Gerald Green. Plays good defense and doesn't attempt to shoot the three that much.
He does have a 7'2 wingspan. Reminds me of when we signed LMM. He definitely outplayed his contract and I think Thabo will as well. The guy shot 43% from the arc, plays defense and was +125 in just over 600 minutes last season. That’s a solid NBA rotation player on most rosters.
He has a 7’0” wingspan, smart and tough. His length is a big deal for the Rockets. He just cannot play a lot of minutes.
Is this how we are going to start off? Westbrook/Rivers Harden/Green/McLeMore Gordon/Sefolosha/Clark Tucker/House/Bennett Capela/Chandler/Nene/Hartenstein
Oh yeah, Coming off the bench "The Elderly Three" Chandler NeNe Sefolosha They can have their own Arthritis Pain killer commercial campaign.
still hoping for 6th man ego Westbrook/Rivers/Gordon Harden/Gordon/McLeMore Sefolosha/House/Green Tucker/Clark/Bennett Capela/Chandler/Nene/Hartenstein
Rockets could be looking at Luc Richard Mbah Moute health, hopefully he is healed, we need him also. Luc needs to get Stem Cells in his shoulder, to heal himself. Raymond Felton, Corey Brewer, Ben Mclemore just won't fit on this team, or won't get playing time These players lateral defense is horrible, can't switch, bad IQ on switches. Ben Mclemore is young so you never know, if he has improved on defense or not. Anthony Bennett can breakout as a Stretch Center, that can shoot 3 pointers with 13 points 8 rebounds 3 assists 2 blocks
No, McLeMore will be cut and Bennett won't make it either. Westbrook / Rivers / Clemons Harden / Thabo / Green Gordon / House / Thabo Tucker / Thabo / Clark Capela / Tyson / Hartenstein / Nene
PG Russell Westbrook, Chris Clemons, Austin Rivers, Shamorie Ponds SG James Harden, Eric Gordon SF Danuel House, Gerald Green, Gary Clark PF P.J. Tucker, Thabo Sefolosha C Clint Capela, Anthony Bennett, Tyson Chandler, Nene, Isaiah Hartenstein
That looks reasonable. Wish we had another big. With Capela's injury history, we have to keep Hartenstein and both old guys.
Bennett is a 4 and Thabo is more of a 3 (as is Tucker) but I get we'll play them at different positions. I really hope Bennett pans out. It would sure be nice to have some size and spacing at the 4 at the same time. Bennett 6'8 7'1 wingspan Clark 6'8 6'10 wingspan Green 6'8 6'10 wingspan Thabo 6'7 7'2 wingspan House 6'7 6'8 wingspan Tucker 6'6 7'0 wingspan I like how you put Clemons ahead of Rivers. lol And D'Antoni has already hinted he might keep playing 6'4 Eric Gordon at the 3 with 6'6 Tucker at the 4. Crazy Rockets. He'll probably end up playing a Clemons-Westbrook-Harden-Gordon-Tucker lineup just to try and have the shortest lineup of all time.
Damn, this is a sneaky good signing, but I hope MDA actually plays him in the right lineup. Basically, I'm not sure he should see the floor with any lineup featuring Capela and Westbrook...
People should not be expecting a lot of minutes from him. He is basically the guard version of Nene. He will miss time and be limited minute wise but effective.
Decent bench depth I guess. Probably will be better than Shumpert. I was never a huge fan of his game. Even in his prime he seemed like a poor man's Battier.
