On Sunday Night Football last night, they said the Texans has signed Jay Ajayi. This was news to all the talking heads, who've reported that he hasn't even had a workout.

Something to keep an eye on moving forward.

Let me be the first to say in this thread for no apparent reason ... OBie needs to be fired.

Doesn't Jay have some sort of knee issue like Gurley but more severe?

This is what I was thinking of...

According to reports that emerged at the time of the draft, Ajayi's surgically repaired right knee is described as “bone on bone.”

Didn't Frank Gore play his entire career with same issue?

Pass. As cool as it would be to have a fellow Gunner on the squad, dude is injury prone. Billy and the boys can sit back and wait for final cuts to address this, good chance Carlos Hyde, or Kenneth Dixon will be available. I've also hoped Samaje Perine would be a Texan since 2014 and he could be cut soon as well. So this sucks for Lamar and is bad timing but for the new guy's grasp of the playbook but a backfield with Johnson, Crockett and Hyde/Dixon/Perine would wouldn't suck imo

He tore his ACL in college, but I never heard of any bone on bone issue -- it would be pretty amazing since he's still playing at a high level at 35.
