Damn Morey did It again. Lakers, Clippers, and Rockets all Super teams. This is the best top 8 teams in the West ever. I guess Tilman was serious about wanting to win. This builds up Tilmans whole Empire. I am going back to The Golden Nugget casino again. Also will go to Landrys

But he's the GM and it will go on his record good or bad. If Westbrook works out then he'll get all the praise and if it doesn't...well I'm sure he won't be out of a job for long...

I always did say that the Rockets HAD to take a big risk. The window with CP3 was closed shut and locked. It wasn't happening with him, just that simple, Rockets didn't have many options at getting another superstar.

Westbrook wanted to come here and CP3 was an untradeable contract and Harden is entering the last years of his prime...gotta do it.

I for one think next season is going to be way more fun to watch now- not sure that I could have sat through another CP3/Harden season.

 

Not a huge fan of WB as my past posts have made pretty clear. At the same time, it's got to be unnerving for the D to go from guarding the slow, rock-you-to-sleep style of Harden to the frenetic ball of energy that is WB.

 

You use picks to win games and titles. That's what they're doing now. You can always sign free agents in 2024 and 2026 so who cares about picks?

I have questioned Morey’s effectiveness twice now.

Once in the lull before acquiring James, once ahead of today.

I will now state my apologies to the man. Turning a dead contract into a high end complimentary player to James for picks that will amount to nothing - magnificent you silly b*stard

 

Great trade for the rockets because:
- Harden and Westbrook will be unstopable
- Harden is happy . We have lock 2 superstars for the next four years.
- we move CP3 . Next year he will be untradable.
- we get Westbrook + we move CP3 for only 2 protected 1st (1-4) and the swaps ( the 2026 con be good, how knows)

 

I think this is a fair point, but I am less concerned about them sharing the ball than the fact that Russ is a poor outside shooter.

I'm not sure how to feel about this trade. I'm happy they got rid of old man hammy but if its a straight up trade why all the picks? Plus Westbrook is such a poor shooter, I don't want to say they got worse but man this is going to be interesting. Still hoping for a sf to balance out the starting lineup

 

I'm so happy Kawhi went to the Clippers, should be a fun season, I feel like there is no true superteam now.

Most teams have two all-stars now, the NBA is finally balanced, Kawhi was the one to bring balance to the force after all.

 

You guys really prefer bad hamstring CP3 not ME!

few people put more on the table and take more off than westbrook. it's like all his skills/traits are either great or terrible. paul's are either good or just neutral. if you thought we could win with 1 more role player, this trade probably sucks. if you thought we had no chance, you should like this trade. we need variance to be on our side.
