Here's the funny part and I can't find a pattern but the last game Foster officiated in the playoffs was on 4/23, a week ago. Between 4/24 and 4/29, there have been TEN games. The number of games each ref has officiated between 4/23 (last day Foster officiated) and today: Scott Foster 1 Marc Davis 2 Ed Malloy 2 Jon Goble 2 Sean Wright 2 Pat Fraher 1 Rodney Mott 1 Zach Zarba 3 Josh Tiven 3 Tony Brown 2 Courtney Kirkland 3 Mike Callahan 2 James Capers 2 Jason Phillips 1 Tom Washington 1 Eric Lewis 1 Kane Fitzgerald 2 Tyler Ford 2 Brian Forte 1 Kevin Scott 2 David Guthrie 2 Ken Mauer 2 Tony Brothers 1 Nick Buchert 1 Ben Taylor 1 Scott Wall 1 Foster's been around for a while now and you'd think the NBA and the official org would want a seasoned vet like Foster to officiate more games due to his impartial judgment. Same goes for Tony Brothers, who will also get a game tonight for Boston @ Milwaukee after only seeing one game between 4/23 and 4/29. Are the official assignments done prior to a series? I can buy that. Are they done at random among the playoff referee pool? Lol, most likely not.
This is a big F U and shut up Silver is sending to us and the Meida. He is announcing he is still the boss. Let's be very very very physical tonight.
the NBA is a complete f*cking joke man.... are you kidding me? Yea its set before the series..but dude.... couldnt someone pull some strings and get malloy or mauer in there instead?
The first thing I thought was that I am not even going to watch this sh#@. Then reality set in and I know it will be torture but I have to watch.
I think you have to. They have been trying to do it behind closed doors in a professional manner for years it seems. They did not respond, Mark Cuban knows how it works, and even stated this is what you need to do. Its either quietly lose, or lose with the world knowing how the NBA operates.
I'm still not sure what any of this is going to accomplish. Referees are human. They are going to miss calls occasionally just as we all do. One of my official buddies asks the players at are pre game meeting if they make 100% of their shots ? They say no and he responds neither do we. In over 10 years of officiating , Umpiring, volleyball, basketball etc..I have never met one official who has shown to be biased towards one team or another.
