Harden -1st in ppg by a wide margin -1st in 40 and 50 point games by a wide margin -1st in 3 pointers made by a wide margin -1st in offensive win shares -1st in box plus/minus -1st in offensive box plus/minus -1st in VORP -1st in estimated wins added -1st in 4th quarter ppg -2nd in win shares -2nd in PER behind AD -2nd in RPM behind PG -2nd in steals per game and tied for 1st in deflections per game with PG -32 straight games of at least 30 points -averaged 44 ppg on 61% TS in the month of January, and has averaged over 40 ppg for 35 straight games and counting while carrying the Rockets from the 14th to 5th seed Name 1 game from Giannis that had people talking about it the next day? Name 1 signature moment? Giannis has similar numbers to last season where he was averaging 27, 10, and 5. Coach Bud deserves a ton of credit for Milwaukee’s season. If Russ can get MVP for doing something we hadn’t seen since Oscar Robertson, then Harden should get it for doing something we haven’t seen since Wilt, but nah, now all of the sudden the media wants to prioritize wins over making history. If this were Lebron with these same stats on a 5 seed he would be the unanimous MVP.
and yet all day today harden despisers have been telling me how he was gifted 18 FTs last nite and that tony brothers gives him the superstar treatment
Media really tried to hype up the Curry alley oop in the All-Star game, lol. Harden has routinely put the basketball world on notice.
Absolutely... The only discussion should be about how to win a championship ring... But if we're talking about MVP... clearly Harden hasn't stamped a game ENOUGH yet. That seems impossible I know. a 61 pointer. Multiple 50 pointers. 40+ ppg average for a month. The dagger against GSW that was as good a regular season game as I've seen in 3 years (GSW-OKC overtime game). But he's going to HAVE to get at least 70, imo. Imagine a 70 point triple double... lol. Pick an opponent we won't be able to stop, so the game ends like 140-137.
But... no discussion, no ratings. The media knows Harden deserves it, but they also know what they're doing, money-wise.
Player A: 12ppg Player B : 21ppg in this scenario most people would think the latter is a all-star caliber player and the former is a good role player. crazy how once numbers start to become larger, they tend to lose their weight. harden could lose out on two MVP awards due to number psychology.
I can see why you or others think it's his yesr, folks really like a comeback story like PGs coming from his injury. Plus Harden gets a historical amount of hate.
