He looks up to Melo and says he learned a lot from him. I Wonder if he doesn’t have any resentment towards us.

But if he doesn’t and bounds well he will be really helpful. I’m guessing he won’t waste this kinda opportunity either because he is very humble. He almost felt like he was done and people thought he was done too.

    Nice interview.

How can a guy be a marginal upgrade to a guy who could not play at all?

    That makes no sense whatsoever.

Are you gonna post this same gripe in every thread?

Can't believe I watched that whole thing ... I'm not sure this guy needs an interviewer - he's a human monologue. I had no idea Shumpert was like this.

I admit I was prejudiced against him in the beginning because of his outdated high-top haircut. Even when it wasn't outdated, I always struggled with the high top. Was there ever a cool one? . . . But he was always a tough defender when a Rocket had to face him. Seems like a great guy! Big addition to the Rockets.

The high-top is retro chic now.

The one with outdated haircut is...

You can see how Austin Rivers is excited to get in the middle of conversations between him and Green.

    I like him! :)

Whether he is as good for the team as I'm hoping remains to be seen, BUT ..... I like him! I got the same vibes from him as I do with GreenLights! I can see him being a head coach in the NBA, or at the very least being a motivational speaker someday! Every team needs a glue guy (centerpiece) that keeps everyone loose and motivated, PLUS...he's a sharp dresser with a boatload of sneakers!o_O

    I like him! :)

(P.S) It's ironic that the progenitor of "Scores" is going to play with the BEST SCORER IN THE LEAGUE, a.k.a. DaBeard!!!

    Go Rockets!!!
    .......

I will just say the best fit for Shumpert in the NBA is the Houston Rockets. The Rockets can cover his weaknesses well and he can address the Rockets needs very well.

There is a reason the Rockets have almost traded for him on at least three occasions.

That is the one thing he lacks. His wingspan is 6’7” to 6’8” while Ariza has a 7’1” wingspan.

He makes up for some of it by being very quick and explosive off the ground. If we end up with Morris at the 4/5, I won’t be concerned.

Either way, even with the shorter reach, he will make a big difference defensively and in transition.

Shumpert's words of wisdom may benefit them. :)

Dude hasn't played a single game yet in a Rockets uniform and people here already thinking he's going to carry us to a Championship

    CF is way over-hyping Shumpert.

Shumpert shot runs hot and cold. His defense is always there. Sounds alot like Ariza to me. The same posters that didn't like picking up Rivers probably wont like picking up Shumpert either.

    I'm lukewarm

    Really like this interview.

Guy seems to love to soak up information from others *and* use it: from how to play, to how to practice, to how to train, to how to teach and inspire others.
