Mirotic at starting PF will be a godsend. Get 'er done Morey.

 

Tucker is nowhere near as valuable when we are a bad team.

His hustle plays are minimised on the smaller scale of a rubbish team when we aren't in vital moments of big games.

How we are as a team now, he isn't a good starting calibre player for us.

 

I give harden credit for game winning steal in 60+ game against the Knicks because in that situation he was able to play center field and gamble.

It's just that harden defensive plays like the Knicks game have been far, few, and in between.

But then again the defensive mentality is gang rebounding, and gang rebounding can only take you so far after other team already ran up the score on you.

 

Ennis is so bad on defense!!! We need some HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Oh, we can definitely criticize Harden. I don't care how many points he drops on how many shots. You have to win games if you think you're a top-2 player. Sorry, I'm not going to make excuses for Harden. Paul George can defend really well and shoot efficiently. That seems a lot more valuable than scoring 40 on 24 shots and playing below-average to atrocious defense.

 

lol everyone is too big for the Rockets. Stop making excuses. This defense DEFINITELY won't improve unless Morey makes roster upgrades.

Last time I checked, Russell Westbrook, warts and all, is still on that team. You know, MVP and perennial all-star? Adams is on that team, too. You know, one of the most capable 5s in the league? Schroeder is also a very capable backup.

Let's not pretend like PG has the same roster that Harden does. And so let's not pretend like PG is tasked with the same responsibilities as Harden is.

 

Tucker was way off base with the ''harden plays d when he wants" statement.

The problem is you often see harden going under on screens and you might say harden is not playing defense well.

Harden often has to go under screens instead of going over as he is trying to play the defensive backboard.
Only problem with that scenario is harden's rebounding efforts are futile against the deeper teams having a boistered front line.

Also, the lack of rebounding takes away from the quick hit drives that harden banks on. He isn't able to play down hill as much and neither is cp3 and the other rockets guards because there are less possessions to take advantage of.

GANG REBOUDING as a defensive strategy is something that might not be sustainable as a strategy outside of Houston or on the road in the west!

 

Not really, not many teams has true post centers. We can play small against a lot of teams just not this one.

 

Hartenstein may not be nimble and quick like Jack jumping over a candlestick but he came in for 8 minutes and got 4 points, 3 rebounds, a steal and a block.

It frustrates me that coach waits until the 3rd quarter is almost over to even put him in, even though Denver scored over 80 points in the first half. I'm sorry, but after the Nuggets had 70 points in the first half he should taken someone out and put him in, because he couldn't possibly have done any worse grabbing rebounds and defending the rim.

Fix it if it is broken. Don't sit and watch a train wreck on defense while singing "Whatever will be will be" as you toot the choo choo horn for an offensive shootout with your small ball lineup. That won't work when they are hitting 45% from behind the arc and slam dunking on us.

4-5 means warriors in first round. If Denver is going to clinch the 1st seed then in that situation I’d want the 4-5 seed.

Denver is beatable, they shot lights out, that won’t happen again. Plus we didn’t have a legitamate big playing tonight
