Lol, I figured someone would start calling Mahomes Steph's long lost brother. Should have known it would be Carl Herrera to point it out.

It's a shame, and a phenomenon that is not limited to Harden, or basketball. The media builds a narrative and has no room for nuance. Even if Harden wins a championship, gets married and has kids, the media will not admit it was wrong about him, but rather continue the narrative (i.e. he was immature and then he grew up). Even if you think attending strip clubs is wrong (I don't), it doesn't discount the good he does in the community. Steph is not a hero because he has a family, and Harden is not a villain because he parties. They are just people, and people are better than their worst deed, not as good as their best deed. But that's too difficult to convey in a clickbaity article title so no one tries.

Without the bias, wouldn't those 'cheap gimmicky tactics' be called 'skills'?

Which begs the question being addressed "Why is that?" Your explanation isn't an answer to that...it is a symptom of the problem.

That is fair. I would draw a comparison to Dirk. He had the same questions, even though he had become on of the most clutch players in the NBA, until his team won a title.

Conversely Kobe, who actually has low 'clutch' percentages, gets viewed as the opposite, precisely because his team went to the finals so frequently.

Players do admit that Married life is tough when players are on the Road or Flying City to City.

The reason I love Harden is because he does frequent strip clubs. Apparently he tips well too. He's young and rich. Why the F not? I want to live Vicariously through him. Go James!

In light of Harden's renewed focus this year and what has been to date an all around improvement in play (MVP+ level play) has Harden pulled back on his trips out to his favorite spots locally? On the road?

I'm not in H-Town and I haven't seen the threads as much the last few months so just curious what the word is on the street cause we know JH loves him some strip club or has in the past.....

Because the majority of the country sees this as exploitive to women and dirty.

That is why. No one has to agree, but that is the reason.

James purposefully goes into the strip club and every time his penis starts tingling he closes his eyes and channels his sexual energy into basketball power. It is an act of extreme self control and discipline. This is why he is a basketball god.

I agree that some people feel this way, but many "sports bros" (1) go to strip clubs as well (2) believe that athletes should be practicing their craft all the time I.e., "He should be working on his defense!" and (3)already see Harden's game as lacking integrity. Him going to clubs further reinforces their idea that other players are morally superior to James.
