Tilman was a part of those championship Rockets as director and a fan since before they moved to Houston. CP3, PJ and Gerald Green are old enough to have watched and remembered. If harden has a good memory maybe he watched and remembers a bit at 6 years old. D'Antoni watched. The city watched. The rest of the country watched. Never underestimate the heart of a champion doesn't directly apply to you being a defending champion only. The psychology and prestige that comes with what they had already done for us is not to be underestimated if used as proper motivation. Showing off the banners, the rings and the trophies and how we accomplished it. Constant reminders on the screen at the TC. Build the moment up and so when our moment comes, it's stamped into our every thought that it has been done and it CAN be done again. Were "CLUTCH CITY." Not "Clutch 1994 and 1995 Houston Rockets" dressed in Rocket Red and Desert Gold.
By having success against all odds and turning things around in an earth shattering manner. Rudy T is a legend with silverware who did just that. Mike D is borderline great I give him credit for that but there will always be a better team or a better coach in his era.
Nowadays people are getting traded within one season left and right. The word loyalty does not have any significance in Free agency. Not every star or superstar wants to be the man. They join superteams.
I wouldn't bet on whether, in a 7-game series, the April 1994 Rockets would beat the April 2018 Rockets.
The Dreams team will always be better than anything Harden is leading. I like Harden and he's a special offensive talent but dude gives up and folds too often and too easily. I think the biggest mistake this year was not finding some way to get Butler on this team. I know it's a broken record but he has heart that Harden just doesn't have.
Boy? Lol watch yourself son. Hakeem always played with heart. Harden has consistently shown lack of heart at the worst times. Simply stating facts.
theres no such thing as heart, you are being subjective here and that's fine if you enjoy it, but dont pretend you presented an argument or proof , only a narrative, and one very narrow at that..too narrow, 2 dimensional and black and white
We're not even making the playoffs this year but atleast Chris Paul has his 40 mil so everything is fine lol
The Rockets didn’t trade or let go of half the team every year back then. And when they did (Barkley), that was the beginning of the end. Does Morey have a formula for team chemistry?
Another good point here... Two of our three best players didn’t get paid after that season (Paul, Capela)
I don't believe in this at all, this year, but I applaud the effort and heart in the OP. If only you could go give a seminar to the Rockets.
