Are you guys watching the same team I am? Getting a player like Korver does nothing for us. Our defense is attrocious. We won’t be able to play Korver and Harden together. Now every team is just gonna trap Harden and see if the rest of our scrubs can beat them. Honestly the Rockets should just tank for Zion or Barrett this year to get some youth and athleticism added to the team. Athletic teams give us fits.
So throwing away a valuable pick or 2 is worth a band aid on offense? Korver has brent barry part 2 written all over him.
We dont have our 2019 or our 2020 2nd rd pick. Do they value 2021 and 2022 2nds more? Do they believe utah or Houston will be worse? But honestly, hes just not worth that much via trade. Hes. Just. Not. He can shoot and he can run around screens for 10-15 mph but be another target on defense for the opposing team to attack. We CANNOT stop dribble penetration. We need help with that. That's probably korvers biggest weakness. It's a bad fit outside shooting well. Would much prefer a Wayne Ellington as a straight shooter or even a troy Daniel's. Joe Harris, justin valentine also great names who just stroke from 3 and that's it but are at least ok defensively. We need athleticism. We need speed. We need depth. Most importantly we need lateral quickness on the defense.
Kyle Korver returns to his natural habitat. He should thrive in Utah. Jimmer Fredette should join him there soon.
Where was Morey? i thought we like 3pt shooters and have weak bench, why not bring one of the better ones in the league.... He probably saving them picks to trade for Michael Jordan
