I was happy Harden stayed back. Nothing good would’ve come from him getting involved. He remained cool and calm the whole time even though he was shoved in the back for nothing to start the whole thing. Proud of you Jimmy for thinking of the team first.
It’s Hardens personality, how many players would just completely ignore that shuv from Ingram like he did? Hardens just very mild mannered and doesn’t involve himself. Lonzos the same exact way, dude doesn’t react when there’s a fight, they just stand there or walk away. They aren’t willing to fight for other people’s problems and that’s understandable considering that the NBA is a job, and it’s not there job to fight.
I don't know if people realise, but harden was on 1 technical already. If he came into the skirmish and got himself ejected he would be getting roasted for being an idiot.
There has been many incidence where teams has lost important because their important players have foolishly came in to defend their "bros". If u smart, don't run in and escalate the situation when there's already a sht ton of players in the mix. If Cp3 was getting gang banged by like the enemy team, yea sure sht on harden for not coming to help, but this was like 1 v 1, u don't need the whole squad in. Kudos for Harden for keeping his cool after being shoved in the back, if harden went to help cp3, ingram could have punched him instead making the situation even nastier we probably be 0-2, every wins count in the West.
Good thing we dun have Royce White on our team, first one to jump at this. That dude is a ticking time bomb.......altercations in the Dleague and Summerleague? Who does that?
All i know is ingram was just itching to punch anyone, i don't think Harden would have kept his cool, while calming down CP3, and getting a punch out of nowhere.
Totally disagree. Harden got in Ingram's head and got the better of him. Staying cool was part of that. Further, Harden getting suspended would have been very harmful to the team.
Man, you’re a clown, for real. Like I said, talk your nonsense from behind your computer screen. You’d never utter those words to my face, ever. Good day, chump.
Ingram got 4 games for escalating it, PJ Tucker and Melo were there for their teammates but didn't throw punches. That is the correct reaction and the smartest. Don't escalate, but be by their side. I doubt CP sees it that way though, he was the first to acknowledge Harden in the tunnel waiting for him, looked like he thanked him for saving the game and saving CP's actions from ending up in a L. More than one way to have your teammates back, Harden did it by just finishing the game for CP.
