This game was bullshit. If Joe West hadn't robbed us of a 2 run HR, this game would be going to extras at a minimum. How the f*ck do you call interference like that? It was clearly in the stands. At the very least call it a HR and then interference could be determined via replay.

Observations: Maldonado - If this dude is good for 3-4 passed balls a game in the post season and can't hit...what is he doing starting? Kemp - I love you dude, but going for an extra base down 3 runs with 2 to go....maybe the biggest bonehead move I've seen in baseball in a long time. Boston had damn near every call go in their favor... like it wasn't even close... That 2 run homer by Altuve called back & that strikeout called back, that's 3 damn runs right there

Yep. While this is true, the umps man.. talk about playing 1 vs 2 here. It’s crazy we still could have won these games. Even with the crappy performances by our pitchers and catcher. The umps were the nail in the coffin unfortunately.
Looks like 2017 was a fluke. What I mean is, looks like we're back to having every possible break go against us in the playoffs. Like we saw in 2015, and 2005, and 2004, and 2001, and 1999, and 1998, and (no need to go further, you get it).
West taking away the 2 run homer hurt and makes this loss even more frustrating but the Sox have put up all kinds of runs the last 3 games. The pitching the last three days has let the team down.
I still have faith for a game 7. Do I have confidence in winning game 7(Keuchel /Morton) is another question. But 1 step at a time and worry about game 7 later.
Yeah, that really set the tone for the game early. Anyway, I feel good about JV tomorrow, and Cole in Game 6, he'll be pitching with a big chip on his shoulder, and is thirsty for redemption. If the baseball gods insist we can't win the series, at least force a Game 7 to bang up their pen as much as possible.
