Game 3 tied in the 6th is not the time to use Smith when the other guys are rested ... you go with them and hope there is a game where the situation allows Smith/Rondon to eat some innings

 

Dallas our was the right call but bringing in Smith was idiotic.

 

You don’t leave off Peacock for Smith or Rondon.

That’s a valid argument. But Peacock is far from untouchable himself.

 

You go down that road when it comes to it. It's game 3, not game 5, 6, or 7. It should have been McCullers or McHugh.

With Smith and Rondon being the FA signings this off season, did the organization feel they owed them playoff time? I just can't make sense of it.

If we were up 1 Smith wouldn’t have been in there. It’s not an easy decision to make but it wasnt ridiculous by any means for Joe Smith to be pitching right there.
