I just feel like we need to settle in and understand that the best value with Anderson is to trade him in February or NEXT summer and not have to sacrifice picks to do so. Maybe we can rehab his value a bit early this year also. At that point, Anderson+picks could really net you something. I feel like after adding Melo we are still a 60 ish win team.
Not sure if this is a good thing but maybe some of those corner threes open up with Ariza gone. I'm ok with Ryno getting some of those in the regular season hopefully this confidence back.
maybe Bertans-type deal? ... [James Ham] Source: Kings in deep discussions with forward Nemanja Bjelica [...] "While four years older, Bjelica compares favorably as a player to the Spurs’ Davis Bertans, who inked a two-year, $14.5 million contract to return to San Antonio earlier this month as a restricted free agent. "
Completely messed up what Bjelica has done. One thing to renege to go back to Europe and never come back and another to renege to go play into a competitor. If he felt devalued by the 1 year deal, then why did he agreed to it in the first place. I don't think that the Kings have enough room to absorb Rhyno now?
Is it messed up? Until the ink is dry he’s not under contract. It’s not ideal but it happens. Remember the kerfluflle with Nene last year? He signed, then he didn’t, then he did. Until the ink is dry, nothing is set.
Nene's agreed upon deal was a violation of the CBA due to ambiguous wording about birthdays, completely different situation, and no one decided they were going to go back on their word.
then how would it be like if a team on their part did the same? Agree with someone, wait until there is no more money in the market and then change their mind to sign someone else at cheaper price.
