Perhaps there are a lot more factors than just “championships asap” for him? First come to my mind would be money. He will get a lot more off the court money in LA vs Houston. Let’s be real, the only city that’s compariable to LA in terms of off court earning would be NYC where no way in hell Lebron would even consider. Second, family would be another factor. One of the top school for future athletes is in LA. His children future are set in the best path possible. They will get expose to Hollywood as well. They might get a show for their family just because the fact that they are in LA alone. His wife loves LA and no woman on earth doesn’t like the exposure to the Hollywood theme. 3rd would be his ego, we all know LBJ is a diva and he likes to be the DEFINITE alpha wherever he goes. Even back in the Miami days, he was pretty much casting shadows over both wade and bosh. I don’t think he likes the idea of teaming up with Harden as he thinks harden wont sit well with the beta role. Fourth would be his future security, it would be a lot easier to draw stars to a mega market down the road with side perks than Houston. Again he is not looking at at 2 years window, perhaps he meant what he said when he stated he wants to have a chance to play with his son?. So yeah, maybe LBJ is planning to play for another 10 years? Lol
Oh I think that's a given. When Lebron signed with the Lakers he was throwing away any chance of winning championships ever again. He signed there because the only thing important to him was hanging out in LA full time and that's fine. I don't blame him for giving up on his career and his legacy.
My thing is, I’m not one of those oh these guys are soft people but foh. They’re getting on a private, catered flight the same night they leave the arena. Boo hoo for y’all get some extra sleep, drink some more Henny and entertain the side chicks for an extra hour or 2
I agree with Cuban. At most add one day here and there. Much better than the Warriors just sweeping anything that comes out of the east and the finals to end so early. It also makes more $ for the nba => more cap room.
I think we need to see the final pages of that book written before we make such declarations. A Kawhi-Lebron combo would be quite formidable

Maybe but he can still win a ring there. They will be bad this year but if they don’t panic and take on salary past this year they will have a max slot next season. They will have a shot at trading their young players for another player not named Kawhi. Maybe Davis? He just bought a 7 mil house in LA. Point is that this year is lost but they will have cap space to get another max player and maybe two.
I don’t like him much anyway, defense is bad, seems to have a low b-ball iq and quit. Just musing about who they might actually spend money on
