Lebron is the best player that has played for the Cavs.
He's the best player that has played for the Heat.
But for many people he's not the best player that has played for the Lakers. If he wins nothing that will add even more fuel for those people.

We survived Bosh and Melo. We can survive LeBron, and plus this isn't the 26 year old LeBron that became available.

Yeah, that's a reason why I think him going to the Lakers is going to be lame. Kobe fans will never appreciate Lebron.

Having grown up in LA and having a ton of friends and family back there a fair amount of them hate LeBron already because of the whole LeBron vs. Kobe thing. Would they take LeBron on their team? Of course, but if he doesnt succeed at a high level they LeBron is going to be attacked pretty bad. The expectations are going to be really high, especially if George or Kawhi joins that team. Its going to happen from day 1 if he and another "max" free agent is on that team. Guys like Odom, Gasol, Dwight were hit pretty hard and really only after they left (except Dwight) do Lakers fan remember them fondly, but while they were they were there it was everyone but Kobe was wrong.

I have no idea what LeBron's intentions or priorities are but I do think he wants to improve his legacy (IMO he is the best ever) or at the very least not make it worse.

Now on the flip side if he goes to LA and does win a ring its going to do far more to bolster his legacy than winning a ring in Houston would ever could.

"Survived" may be true but we need to take that trophy home. Anything less than that is a failure at this point.

I have absolutely zero faith in CP3’s health...he will be 34 during next year’s playoffs and has gotten injured in 3 of his last 4 playoff runs...this year it’s the hammy, next year it will be the knee, or the Achilles, or some other body part

Eric Gordon is way too inconsistent...at his best he can be a 3rd star, but his best only comes around on occasion

the window with CP3, Harden, and role players won’t extend past next season IMO

if we’re not getting Bron, and since we’re definitely not getting Paul George, I will now have to turn my delusions towards 1 man

He ain't winning if it's just Lebron and PG13 plus a bunch of randoms. That **** might work in the east, but this is the freakin west. They might not even make it out of the semi-finals.

What is more likely is that he does not win in LA and hurts his legacy more. The age needs to be brought up over and over. 33 going on 34. How much more time does he want to waste? It will take at least 2 years to make the WCF.. he will be 35 going on 36. He can go to LA, but it won't be for championships.

My dude, why are u here? I would never go join a Lakers board (or any team’s board), and if I ever did, I definitely wouldn’t be spending this much time there.

Lets say the Lakers Sign LeBron and Paul George so they are able to keep Lonzo, Kuzma and Ingram and Hart

This would giave them a lineup of

    Lonzo/Hart
    George/???
    Ingram/Deng
    LeBron/Kuzma
    ???/Wagner (R)

List of guys they could get to sign on a vet min:

Guard/Wing: Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Marco Belinelli, Tony Parker, Joe Johnson
Bigs: Brook Lopez (Unlikely)/ Greg Monroe, Amir Johnson, Brandan Wright, Ed Davis, Frye

Again not an amazing lineup persay but depending on how they play and most importantly the development of Ball, Kuzma and Ingram it can be a team that could contend in the West IMO. A huge reason why the Rockets were as good as they were was the huge leap that Capela took last season if the lakers young guys take a similar leap then that could be a very very good team.

Also Deng like Anderson is way overpaid but isn't garbage. He just hasn't played at all because the Lakers focus has been on development and growth. With LeBron and George on the team he goes back to being useful in a 'win-now situation' esp off the bench

we not only need CP3 for the Warriors, but we also need him if a team like Boston is in the finals next year as well...Harden plus role players isn’t beating either one

Y’all trust CP3 to make it through 4 playoff rounds? Come on home Jimmy B.
