Morey: "We had a fairly large deal (involving picks) but nobody would have focused on that part."

Bringing up Gordon on the phone, after we heard rumblings he might not exactly be 100% happy here - not necessarily a good thing if we wind up going into next season as-is.

Just want to say again, the quote in the title was due @Clutch asking the question. Morey was going to slip through that interview without giving us that, without Clutch being there. Thanks again for asking the question and with the pro-style, quick follow-up probing for more when Morey kinda dodged the first question.

We aren't even speculating about Morey's confidence to shop Gordon in a pre-Lebron manner, if it wasn't for your reporting before and after the draft.

Nice persistence with the follow-up question...Well done!

Clutch does a fine tight rope walk that people don't notice enough to talk about. Which is good because some dummies here are only looking for instant gratification

If we accept that it was Gordon he was shopping in order to get picks for a fairly large deal, what should we take from the fact that it ultimately didn't happen?

I would love Butler on this team. Two-way star who can impact off the ball

Do you think it's more likely that the pieces coming back were not good enough quality for Morey? Do you think he was just trying to see what the market was? Do you think that a trade not happening hurts our chances in the LeBron saga?

Those are the things I was wondering about.

Hes just trying to trick other GMs into thinking we almost traded Gordon, so they’ll start a bidding war

Harden moves to point-forward in this scenario, Ariza to the bench.

No one wants to trade with Morey when it comes to involving potential star players after what happened with OKC.

It's the same with Ainge except Boston has so much assets stolen from that Nets trade.

Morey loves giving Clutchfans something to talk about. When Clutch went to ask the question and stated where he's from, Morey knew to put a little spice in the answer.
