1996 Jeep Cherokee Country - great first car, terrible gas mileage. I think I was getting around 15 mpg when I finally got rid of it and the fuel gauge didn't work anymore. 2010 Honda Fit - it was fine at the time, but I now realize it was a glorified go-kart. I liked that I could put the back seats down and it got good gas mileage. 2016 VW GTI - took advantage of Volkswagen's post-TDI desperation and bought a new GTI for about $9k off MSRP. Great car, no problems so far.
240sx didnt have water in the radiator Avegner had the pistons fail BMW had a problem im still dealing with the dealership The 300zx was old af i bought it for $1000 just to save up for another car....didnt make it lol

My first 4 automobiles. The 1962 Vomit Comet, got it through the family. The 2+2 was my Dad's, and he gave it to me. The Volvo was a sweet car. Slow, but quicker than the Comet. The Spitfire wasn't in nearly the condition shown in the image. I blew it's engine racing a chick in a Camaro who was a neighbor (yeah, it was crazy, but she was hot and we were loaded), and then the fuel pump sprayed gas all over the newly rebuilt engine, setting it on fire. A pain in the ass, but I loved driving it. Spoiler
Used BMW. Hand-me-down convertibles from Dad. Toyota Corolla. Toyota Tacoma. Now, Toyota Camry. HATE IT. Wanted to save money after the Tacoma. Camry is uncomfortable as hell for me. MISTAKE.

There was an awesome grey market for cars amongst DoD personnel over there. Paid $101 for the both of them. Boy, I wish I'd never sold that Ranger. Somebody said their PT Cruiser was the worst car they ever owned. My experience was the exact opposite. The PT Cruiser was my wife's car and our traveling car. We drove the hell out of that thing...just over 195,000 miles in 7 years and all we ever had to do was replace a transmission pan gasket. Only complaint was the turning radius on that thing sucked. I'm about done with the Tiguan...lift gate lock just went out for the 2nd time in 5 months. Anybody wanna guess what year our twins were born?
@leroy was the one who said it in this thread, but I would say the same. My first car was a PT Cruiser. It was awful. AC would routinely break, blown head gasket, overheated even under generous conditions, and had to be sold for parts when it hit like 120k miles. Auto shop guys at a Chrysler dealer repeatedly told me that they were shocked the car even lasted that long as they were so poorly made. Mine was a 2001, the first year they made it. Goes without saying but just to be clear: I did not want a PT Cruiser. It was my mom's former car so she gave it to me when she got a new one. No awkward 16 year old boy wants to be rolling around in a PT Cruiser.
Oh, it's a familiar story, alright. I don't know how we dodged that bullet, but again we drove the HELL out of that car. I didn't want it either, but my wife did so, we got it. Drove it back and forth between Maryland and Houston 4 times, down to Florida twice and all over the Mid-Atlantic and New England. I grew to love it as stupid as it looked. Sold it (and the Mustang, dammit) once the twins were born. Bought a used Chrysler T&C (drove the wheels off that) and bought another T&C (that we also wore out). I was all in on MOPAR's until that Dodge Journey. What a piece of garbage that was. After a decade of driving minivans, the wife deserved something a little more exciting so, the Challenger is hers.
I picked up a certified 2018 Impala with the 20’s in pearl. I’m digging the car so far, very comfortable ride, nice look to it.
You have got to be the luckiest person I know, haha, I do a decent amount of work on cars and jeep/dodge/Chrysler are not my Favs to work on ( especially with their later computer/integration system aka tipm., I'm good with computers/electronics on the other makes just not good experiences for me or customers working on them, and I like doing car work). Anyway it's absolutely amazing the miles you got with no timing belt issues (yes a belt hahah, not even a chain, on some makes/models it works but not the PT, typically between 60-80k total failure, - no start/overheat/complete engine failure) had to have been one of the worst cars I've ever worked on. The belt replacement was awful with the amount of hours required, and the worst part... it was basically expected to fail again. You should play the lotto, the odds of a pt lasting like that, regardless of doing awesome maintenance on it. .. You'd have a better chance of winning the lotto.
Haha, awesome. Lucky for me, my wife refuses to drive a minivan even after we had ours 7 years ago. My Mother in Law has a 2019 Honda Odyssey with all the bells and whistles. It's REALLY nice. But it's still a minivan....
