What are your game superstitions?

    This year I've been buying a 22-ounce stout (or sometimes porter) before every game. I drink half of it during the first quarter and the other half during the third. If I'm at a sports bar, I get pints, but still stout or porter.

    @topfive's_gf and I had done our weekly shopping the day before Game 6 and I accidentally screwed up and got an IPA. Didn't realize it until 3 minutes before game time when it was too late to do anything about it. So yeah, sorry everyone, but the Game 6 loss is on me. It won't happen again, trust me.

    So what are your game superstitions?

    What are YOU going to do to help ensure a Rockets victory tonight? (apart from causing bodily harm to Scott Foster)

    I wear my lucky rockets hat. They ****ed up at the factory I guess in put the rockets logo upside down. People been asking this year why it's upside down. I made a story up a made a deal with the sports devil for the rockets to win the chip this year.

    I have my wife wash my clothes very well. This is a faded James Harden Fear the Beard shirt and a pair of black Rockets practice shorts. A few hours before game time I take a nap, then a hot bath. I then put on the clothes. This has an .800 WPCT or so.
    Lately, I have been getting fried chicken on game day, that place is 3-0 as I ate it during games 2, 4,5. They are closed today.
    Building a shrine over fireplace with all Rockets/Astros championship stuff as we speak.

    You know me, I got my silly superstitions routines on the net with the strike outs(For safety, For the culture, Chill out, reckless keystrokes). I also don't venture into the game threads until game time.

    IRL, I got a lucky hoodie, I watch the games on a particular TV, Me and my father have some quality time before the games. My gf and my sisters don't watch the games because they think they are bad luck..

    I didn't have the quality time with my father before game 6 because our schedules didn't match up... Rockets lost. Our schedules match up today...

    don't think I realized that. me on the other hand, I always try to make the first page of the game thread with 'big win,' 'bigger win,' and today, 'biggest win.' Don't always make the front page, but I always predict a win. That and advertise for Team Stay Calm.

    My superstition is my belief, I want the Rox to win convincingly. But I take a buzzer beater or clutch steal/block.

    I've mentioned my little shrine at home, with my Jerry Lin bobble head upside down in a bowl of dry Cheerios, with a little bronze statue of Buddha staring at it that I've had for over 50 years. I rub it before each game, with mixed results (obviously). Jerry's feet sticking up in the air are kind of cool. Candles and incense, of course. A 6-pack of Pacifico with a bottle of single malt if things get dire. I may need to open another bottle. A blend of green completes the scene. OK, a win would create the scene, and I'm waiting for that. :cool:
