    I liked Micheal Jordan and the cowboys during Troy, Emmit Smith and Irvin as a kid everyone liked them I guess, never really watched basketball mainly followed soccer sometimes football. But idk why I like Yao, I’m Mexican but I like that he was humble and funny and he was an underdog. I always liked rooting for the underdogs and since then I have followed the Rockets and then I became a fan of The Rockets.

    As a 14 years old who just then realized basketball is my favourite sport, I watched our favourite player demolish Orlando in finals. What I remember the most was 4 missed free throws from Nick the Brick.

    It didn't make me a fan, but it warmed my heart when Dragić was traded here. I started following the team soon afterwards and joined Clutchfans as a result. Thus, my fandom was born.

    I think the players are one of main reasons someone starts to follow a team. But what makes you a fan are storylines that surround it.

    Rox fan since '71. Yeah, I'm old AF.

    Never saw a game live during their years in Hofheinz Pavilion, but I saw Moses, Rudy and Calvin in a game at the Summit during the first season there. (Also saw the Who, the first concert staged at the Summit.) Also never had to follow them when Pat Riley was a PG.

    Blew a chance to punk these guys down to a tie for 7-9. Lame. That fourth quarter was Spurs game 5 Q4 quality. We playing ugly.

    I followed Robert Goddard who was a modern father of the current rockets era.

    Inventor of the first liquid fueled rocket in 1926

    Watched my first NBA game, Hakeem vs shaq NBA finals. Followed the winner, and stayed with the rockets ever since.

    Started playing and watching basketball the year after the Rockets won their second championship. Didn't even know they were defending champs, just loved Hakeem.

    I must've jinxed the team since.
