Just got home from Two Towers If there is going to be any movie EVER that has a chance to break Titanic's record this should be it. I have absolutely no words to describe it. Simply the best movie I have ever seen. The critcs who said the first two movies were made just so they can make the third one are absolutely right. I went to the Trilogy Tuesday and its the best 100 bucks I have ever spent. The drama and action are freakin mind-blowing!
and im up all night studying east asian security. and since im flying overseas for break right after my last final, i wont see the damn movie until i get back in january. b*stard. and don't you mean return of the king?
Doh! Can one of the mods change the thread title? Anyways, I'm not kidding guys. The movie is simply that amazing. The acting by everyone is unbelievable. The battle scenes are simply breathtaking. You guys wont believe how many people could be heard sobbing throughout the movie. Of course I'm a manly man so I dont cry.
Did you mean The Return of the King? Am I the only one who caught this? I can't wait. I am going to see it on Thursday at 7, then I am flying off to the Middle East. Thankgod I get to see it first, otherwise I would have to wait till around Jan. 20th. It's so nice to have no worries or duties. I love break. PS: there is already a Thread for LOTR The return of the king.
I saw Trilogy Tuesday by myself. Now I am going to go watch it tomorrow night with my brother and then again Saturday night with my gf. Where exactly are you going in the Middle East? Not Dubai is it? That place is the freakin bomb!
Dubai does kick a**!. I love Dubai and Baharain. I am actually going to the ghetto of Saudi Arabia....Dhahran.
Just got back from the midnight showing and this is without a doubt the greatest movie I've ever seen. Eowyn kicked ass, Denethor was a true *******, there was less mooshie romance with the Arwen incest Aragorn triangle, but the Sam part was cool with me He got his loving the right way. Frodo was great, Shelob was beautiful to watch, Gollum once again stole the show, and I couldn't help but be teary eyed on multiple occasions. There were a few quirks I was dissapointed with in comparison to the book but given how hard it would of been to make a 100% transition from the book to the movie, I understand wholeheartedly the reasons for some changes. Unlike other trilogies where it just seems like they toss in a fight scene just to toss in a fight scene, I never once felt any battle here was just to show off their CGI (exception of Legolas but nonetheless cool.), and I always felt moved and torn to see a human go down in battle. Best movie of all time bar none.
All-nighter complete; it's still not sleep time. Someone talked to me last night at 4 because they just got back from the movie. It's really 3.5 hours?!?!?!?!?!? Better be worth my $7.50.
Just a fantastic movie. My favorite of all time- and I wasn't even stoned when I saw it. Everything about it is perfect. It would be impossible to make a good movie while following the book exactly. But these films did it better than any I've seen. Can't wait for the extended DVD...
Good place actually, not half as nice as riyadh, but its not bad. Al rashidd mall reminds me a lot of the gallaria. Havnt been there in like 4 years. O guess what, I GET TO GO TO DUBAI TTHIS SUMMER for a whole week. HELL YES. now if only i could stay at al-burj
