That latest Cod post highlights my points. He's hearing from the players side. Belinelli for example may really want to come to Houston so that story gets out that he might go to HOU. However, from the Rockets standpoint they might have zero interest. (or might, I have no idea) That doesn't make Cod's info wrong.
Yes, he's Capela-lite and all that, but on a team of Ryno, EGo, Nene, and CP3 he is by far the most injury prone. I think he averages less than half a season for his whole career. Not exactly the injury insurance for Nene we're all hoping for.
I love Nene but we all know that it different when h is in there cause he isn’t a threat for the ally oop lik Capela is. Also isn’t a rim protector like Capela. If Brandan can be Capela light when Nene is your off or Capela needs a breather then we got a win with this signing and added depth. How would have the series been different if we had someone like this when Nene got hurt In the playoffs?
Thanks for the info. Glad we are staying clear of Brewer because I just can’t start having mini strokes again everytime he steps out on the court as a Rocket.
Good security to have if Nene get injured. I love Black's energy and he seems like a nice guy but his bbiq is just terrible. Brandon Wright seems like a solid upgrade.
Wright is a fantastic addition, I'm surprised Cod is saying we are still in play for other FA's because our rotation looks rock solid now with the additions of Green and Wright. If we added another player, it would mean someone has to get glued to the bench... And that would in all likelynes be Green... Not a fan of doing that... Not for any of the guys being talked about. Green has been playing extremely well, he doesn't deserve to be cut out of the rotation for Belly or JJ at this point... So unless they would be cool with being bench warmer injury insurance (which would be amazing insurance to have) I just don't see the need, this team looks absolutely set with talented depth at every position in the rotation.
Because Morey has been confidently made aware that the Suns have no plans of buying him out and probably plan to trade him as an expiring in the offseason or next year to a contender for a pick. Salary floor. There are several decent buyout candidates and many teams that want them. You cannot afford to wait and lose out when you can get a player that fills your needs.
I believe Morey is still well connected within the Celtics circle, he might know one or two things what they are going to do (co-contenders).
