Triplet..........mumble mumble mush mouth. SHE IS TERRIBLE. Give me Salt and Pepper, LiL' Kim, Missy Elliot......hell, Nick Minaj is 10x better than this b****. I tried to listen to Hip Hop radio on Apple Music (current rap) and god...i made it thru 2 songs.....went back to Classic Hip Hop. All these assholes sound the same. You have Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and few others that try to do their own thing, but otherwise, it sucks. Rock and Pop are the same way. Beiber is the only pop stars in the last 7 years who will be remember. R&B.....HipHop has killed R&B. Music after 2010 is just Horrible. This is the WORST time period for ALL Genres. I've been listening 80s and 90s radio...........the good ole' days.......
she's quite literally no worse than Nicky Minaj, when I first heard her single I didn't even give it a second thought because I was sure it was just another Nicky Minaj song.
R&B is definitely in a talespin since The Migos made triplet so popular. No one was listening to R&B already and now everyone is selling out thinking that same tired beat is going to give them a hit. It's tough finding new R&B music; you really have to hunt for it. This is darkest timeline for hip-hop and Rap. That mumble sh*t has failed an entire generation... I have no idea what's next if the new crop of artists consider the mumble era classic. Just imagine the nostalgia in 10 years.. will people even look back on this era fondly to have nostalgia? Mumble rap and Triplet is up there on the what-were-they-thinking list with shoulder pads and man-buns. Cardi B is annoying, no doubt, but I like seeing people on the come up. No one was checking for her, she was grinding until she finally hit it big. I'm a fan of hard work that pays off. Good for her. I'm changing the channel when she on the radio though.
Not familiar with Cardi B but you clearly haven't listened to 21 Savage if you are saying hip hop is dead. Triplet/mumble rap is the sound of this generation.

How she has no 1 single makes no sense. Her rapping sucks. Her Lyrics suck. I guess the beat is ok, but pretty mediocre.
I dont condone the triplet sound of today but Im pretty sure that there were some older generations that thought Outkast was just pure garbage.
