The only way deandre can come to houston is he comes to back up Clint.

Nice, everyone acts like DJ and Paul had a strained friendship in LA.

That would be a sight out see... Harden and CC connection then followed by CP3 and DJ connection.

    CP3/harden
    EGO/Harden/CP3/Ariza
    MBAh/Tucker/Anderson/Ariza
    CApela/Jordan

That's a legit 9 man rotation right there...

Except both Jordan and Capela would be unhappy with the limited minutes plus both of them are going to be too expensive to be a bench player

Also let’s completely mesh the rockets and clippers by adding griffin. And Bev.

    Paul, Beverley
    Harden, Gordon
    Ariza, Mbah a Moute
    Griffin, Anderson
    Capela, Jordan

    Legit 10 man rotation.

Of course we could run CC @ 4 & DJ @ 5 for a twin towers effect 10 minutes a game. The Lakers showed us what our lack of height can do to us when playing a long, tall, lanky team such as the Lakers - & we play them twice more this month.

Or if we don’t pick up Capela next season. Let’s say because mark Cuban over paid him to mess with morey and the rockets.

Also one thing I’m noticing since we signed cp3 is that he wants DJ on his team. Even before he played as a rocket.
There were rumors he might be traded here for Capela. Or something like that. Also Chris keeps talking about how good a relationship he and Dj have.
Plus I seen him get irritated whenever Clint misses easy layups or he is right at the rim but doesn’t score because he goes soft.

Idk. I wouldn’t be surprise if we do end up getting DeAndre Jordan next season. If we want to keep Chris and we want him happy we would. I don’t think we would do a bad trade though just to get him. Just like morey didn’t pull the Melo trade just because Chris and Melo wanted to play together.

How much do you guys think Capela will get paid next season as an UFA? And how much would be to much to sign him

D’antoni isnt playing 2 bigs that can’t shoot outside of 5 feet

most coaches aren’t doing that unless they’re still stuck in the 90’s

Trade Ryno, Clint, Troy Williams, Nanu Onuaku, rights to Llull/Gentile and first rounder for Aaron Gordon, Hezonja and Biyombo before trade deadline.

Sign DJordan to one year hometown discount next season.

    Paul/EGo
    Harden/Hezonja
    MBM/Ariza
    AGo/PJ
    DJ/Biyombo/Nene

3 true facilitators in starting 5, with enough firepower to survive a lingering injury or two. Plus a truly legit bench. Around the rim - DJ, Biyombo and Nene all bring down the thunder.

I think Clint can live with it. He will want more minutes, but I think he will want to save himself for the playoffs.
DJ, will want to be the starter. CP will have to tell him that the only goal is a
championship, and that he has a chance to play a major role in the playoffs. A buyout is the only way to get DJ in Houston. Morey will have to tell him that.

You can't pay both DJ and Capela $20 million and they are both worth that amount.

I'm only talking about making a run this year. If we don't win, DJ can walk away, ala Josh Smith. If he performs brilliantly, An S/T with Capela can be beneficial for both parties. A buyout from the Clippers should be a prerequisite for DJ.

Why would the Clippers buy him out when they can trade him for value?

I didn't say they will do that, nor do I expect it. I said if DJ really wants to come to Houston at a discount( cyberex's words) then he should agree to a buyout. I don't think it will happen though.
