    Notice how much emphasis Coach Nick puts on Paul's shooting on PnRs vs Bev.

    Imagine if that were a comparison to Rubio.

    And them further fawning over Paul being able to engineer ISO scoring while Harden watches in the corner. Imagine if he were comparing Paul to Rubio's non-existent ability to ISO. Or how the Spain PnR doesn't really work if the PG can't shoot. Or the value of another off-ball scorer/shooter Paul has become.

    I could go on ....

    Suffice it to say, everything Coach says in that video is also pointing out why Rubio would suck in this offense.

    Coach Nick "Beverley was not a three point threat"

    As much as this sounds preposterous based on his percentages, Coach Nick is right in that Bev was only a good spot-up shooter. He wasn't very good in pnr & off-the-dribble situations, and CP3's ability to create his own shot is heads and shoulders above Beverley, which adds a whole another dimension to our offense.

    This is why I always lmao at people who only look at percentages to determine which player is a better shooter without considering 1. the degree of the difficulty of shots 2. ability to get the shot off off-the-dribble. It's the same reason why Curry will always be remembered as a superior shooter than Klay Thompson.

    This guy is way to aggressive with his definition of a travel... Not just saying that cuz he was talking about Harden in this case, I've seen it a few times now. You get two steps after you gather the ball, bruh.

    when CP3 was traded to the Rockets, people were acting brand new. I don't know how many videos I watched saying the Clippers were better without CP3, or Beverley was a better defender, or CP3 is too old.

    I wasn't an avid watcher of CP3 so I was starting to believe it a little.

    Thompson is elite at moving without the ball, an under appreciated skill and a huge part of the GS offense. He’s not a mere spot up shooter.
