I am currently looking for a Laptop Screen - 17 inch Sony Vaio - 40 pin. SVE17137CXB - Lcd 17.3 Wuxga Cmi N173hge-l11 Part Number: A-1886-323-A My thing is . . . no when in Houston seems to sell parts I know there use to be a Laptop Screen place by Reliant but They may have gone out of business The Microcenters and Frys - don't seem to have what i need. Where is the best place for computer parts in Houston. Generally my list starts: 1. Microcenter 2. Frys Goodwill Electronics is a crap shoot. . . a basic pick-your-part of computers Rocket River
I figured as much . .. but was wanting to see if there was some place I could just walk in and pick up Rocket River
In addition to the two listed, I also use Directron quit a bit when I'm building out a new machine. It's near the beltway and harwin.
Amazon. My laptop keyboard started acting up one morning. Amazon charged about half as much as everyone else, and they delivered the same day for $6 shipping. I'd rather support the little guy, but sometimes that takes too much work.
IF I may suggest microcenter They may have somethings on sale that you maybe want to buy. Rocket Cranberry_Juice
Went by there. . . looks like they are about to close up shop nothing was there . . .and they didn't have the LCD Rocket River
They arent closing up shop and they stopped accepting walk in customers, they are focusing more on their online presence. i used to love going here all the time as well but as of 2 years ago i believe they have changed the way their business operates.
Good to know. It's been a couple years since I've been there, and will probably start specing out a new machine early next year.
They never did have much sitting out. You would either place the order online and pick it up, or order up front. I always found them the best local spot for cases. Good selection and you save the shipping costs. For laptop parts I've always used Amazon.
