The Thunder traded Oladipo, Sabonas, Kanter, McDermott, and a 2nd round pick for Paul George AND Carmelo Anthony WTF!
That's it? I thought they would get a better deal than that if they dealt with others teams besides Houston.
How did OKC pull these trades off the story all year was that Westbrook was playing with garbage roster, and that harden had the better roster.. and thats why he won mvp apparently the rest of the nba doesnt think so they were able to get paul george and melo from that garbage roster.. SOMEBODY LIED TO ME... NO FAIR
And they got him for nothing.... figures. Still think that team blows up next summer. PG is LA bound.
I'm glad Melo didn't come here. Whether you like this latest development or not, it caps off the greatest and most exciting NBA offseason ever. The season itself has a very tough act to follow. I'm ready for opening night!
Only for a year right? Melo's way of getting out of ny. Not enough ball to go around with those 3. We would've been perfect. Melo rockets 2018-2019.
Finally the drama of this crap is over. I didn't want Melo from the beginning and glad he didn't come.
I can see Indiana because they could've dealt George anywhere, but how is this malpractice by the Knicks? Melo had only three places he wanted to play, and Kanter was the shortest bad contract offered to them. Nobody put a good asset on the table for Melo.
Then why make a trade? Just buy him out. At least shed salary in that way. The Knicks advanced their franchise in ZERO way. Zero pieces of value. Terrible player/contract in Kanter. Obvious devaluing of a Top 50 player in Melo. Utter malpractice.
Have officially lost all interest in the NBA. Will still watch Rockets, but damn this league is a joke. Someome needs to solve this talent hoarding scandal, if Silver can't do it godammit get someone in place who can. No wonder I've been gravitating more toward the NFL as of late.
