Seems there should be a safety pin which would physically eliminate upward separation while in transit. If so, the site must've been freeway construction right there on the freeway. No way he makes it that far from city streets without hitting a stoplight or taking down some power lines.
Ours has one, it only works if you put the pin in though. Wouldn't be a hydraulic issue, then you wouldn't be able to raise the bed at all, I'm leaning toward the driver being an idiot.
