So Paul and Jimmy do the hard work while Morley just crunches some numbers and defers to his legal team to make sure it works? What a time to be alive for Murray.
Right. Haven't you been reading the BBS? Morey's a horrible GM! Turrible. James Brown: "Do you see the light?" jake: "Yes.....! Jeezus! I can see the light!"
CP to State Farm: " In addition to James Harden, I'd like you to setup Carmelo Anthony with a contracted endorsement for our State Farm Commercials for next season " CP to Carmelo: "Melo, State Farm endorsement is a go if you join"
i'm done with these unreliable sources. I'm gonna focus on the twitter accounts of Begley, Feigen and Woj. One of the 3 will get the news first. and if any of the 3 reports anything of substance on this deal, at least you know it's credible.
Feigan earlier said it's a long shot but I don't really trust he knows anything other than what rockets want as the official PR story for the time being. I would think there's more benefit for them to keep it on the DL for as long as possible. Nothing is done until it's done.
all the talk seems like it's coming out of the Knicks camp. So clearly Houston is being smart by treating everyone outside of the inner circle like mushrooms: feed them sh#t and keep them in the dark.
Per sources, the Knicks had strong interest in trading for Houston’s Patrick Beverley before Beverley was dealt to the Clippers in the Chris Paul trade. On the Anthony front, both the Knicks and Anthony feel good about the possibility of completing a deal that sends him out of New York, according to sources. The Knicks and Rockets have talked about an Anthony trade recently, with Wojnarowski reporting that “the Rockets have been persistent in their pursuit of Anthony, who is willing to waive his no-trade clause to join Chris Paul and James Harden in Houston and the Knicks do not imagine a scenario where Hardaway is sharing the floor with Anthony to start the season.” Any deal that sends Anthony to Houston is a complex one in which a third team is likely needed. It is unclear at this point where talks are but it doesn’t appear that any deal is imminent. What is clear is that the Anthony trade or buyout -- one of the most important moves in the recent history of the Knicks -- will be Mills' deal to make. http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-k...n-focused-on-carmelo-trade-finding-veteran-pg
LMAO this looks like one of those cartoon archetypes where 4 kids are stacked on top of one another in their dad's suit or trench coat or whatever
basketballholic has cleared this up. Apparently everything is set for Ryno to Knicks for Melo, but the trade is being held up because MDA wants to move Capela for an "ace big" so Morey is scrambling to find one rather than just closing the Anderson for Melo trade.
Useful information. This confirms that the Rockets don't have the goods to get the trade done, and no third team has shown any inclination to help them out either. A buyout is almost certainly out of the question, unless Melo agrees to it. I think he will join Cleveland if he is bought out. My gut feeling is Chris Paul's one year contract with our Rockets is causing doubt in Melo's mind. Also Lebron holds the edge as being the best player, out of him, Paul, and Harden.
