Being that I've been building a company for the past couple years, I've definitely been on the frugal side of going out when possible. These are the deals I've found in that time span. Monday: Berryhill has $2 fish tacos. Mission Burrito has $5 Burritos If you live in the Montrose area El Real has half price to residents. Tuesday: Half price wine at AKA - ie. great for inexpensive date night. Taco Tuesday - I prefer Pistoleros, but I've placed a link below with other options. http://houston.cbslocal.com/top-lists/top-taco-tuesday-specials-in-houston/ Wednesday - Steak night at Tailgate Midtown. $1 per oz. (8 oz min.) and comes with two sides. My favorite steak night, and I've been to several. (you're supposed to order a beer, but some of the waitresses will let that slide.) And my personal favorite HH right now is Hopdoddy. M-F 3:00-6:30 they will have a special $5 burger, plus every cocktail on their menu is also $5. Best $5 burger you will get in Houston right now. Those are the ones off the top of my head. Would love to hear other options.
In college I used to go to Sheikh Chillies near Sharptown area, an indo-Pakistanis restaurant, a big mixed plate for about 10$ that can be consumed over 3 days with gallons of water
I go to Pappacitos every Wednesday evening for half off fajitas. Yeah, it's not the cheapest but for really good fajitas for 2 and an iced tea it comes out to about $25, well worth it.
Thursday night at pistoleros 6 dollar green chile burger with fries. Big servings and also $2 tecates.. Can't remember if it's Wednesday or Thursday night but moon tower in Eado has 2 for 1 burgers
