    I would love Rubio's defense (supposedly) and his playmaking...but his inability to hit the broad side of a barn is beyond concerning. We put up with Pat's inability to effectively and consistently create, but he is a pretty good 3pt shooter. Not sure how Rubio would do in our system, or really any system since he can't hit a layup either.

    But MAYBE we can turn him into a 35% three point shooter. John Lucas did wonders with Capela. Maybe he could work on Rubio's shot too...

    The odds of Rubio being a rocket are probably lower then odds of Paul George becoming a rocket. This just doesn't make any sort of sense

    There is still a part of me...a small part...that thinks Ricky is better than people give him credit for.

    His real plus/minus was #39 in the league....one spot ahead of Beverley and top 10 among players that did not make the playoffs.

    He may have...MAY HAVE....turned a corner in the latter part of the year. Through February, he was right around his historical averages in shooting/scoring. In march and through the end of the year, his scoring, FGA, FTA, FG% and 3FG% went up, in some cases dramatically.

    Ricky's future success/failure comes down to two things in my mind...will he stop shooting mid-range 2s and can he hit league average 3s? The right coach + right personnel around him could make him a borderline all-star IMO. MDA is the right kind of coach for him, and we have the right kind of personnel for him to succeed. I wouldn't completely rule out an improvement in shooting ala Jason Kidd later in his career.

    Rubio's incredible 3pt shooting prowess fits this team and Morey's supposed 3pt barrage strategy to beat the Warriors like a glove LOL.
