-Rockets history after winning game #4 and the series tied 2-2 is (2-5)
-Spurs history after losing game #4 and the series tied 2-2 is (10-5)

-Rockets history after winning game #4 @ home and the series tied 2-2 is (0-5)
-Spurs history after losing game #4 on the road and the series tied 2-2 is (10-3)

-Rockets history of blowing out a team in game #4 (+15 pts) and series tied 2-2 (0-0)
-Spurs history of being blown out in game #4 (+15) and series tied 2-2 (2-1)

-Rockets history of winning by +10 in game #4 and series tied 2-2 (1-2)
-Spurs history of losing by +10 in game #4 and series tied 2-2 (5-2)

-Rockets history of winning game #1 and #4 and series tied 2-2 (0-1)
-Spurs history of losing game #1 and #4 and series tied 2-2 (1-0)

-OVERALL Rockets tied at 2-2 (6-7)
-OVERALL Spurs tied at 2-2 (12-9)

Hate to say it but history is NOT on the Rockets side right now.

HOWEVER this series may come down to whoever wins game #5

-Rockets history after being up 3-2 in a series (8-1)
-Spurs history after being down 2-3 in a series (1-11)

-Rockets history after being tied 2-2 and winning game #5 (5-1)
-Spurs history after being tied 2-2 and losing game #5 (1-7)

So despite all of the above stats. If Houston can manage to pull out a victory in Game #5 in SA then they have about an 85% chance to win the series.

Useless stats. What about variables that you can't account for. Nene being injured for one.

I think the reason for the game #5 winner of a series (tied 2-2) winning the series most of the time (about 82% in the history of the NBA playoffs) is because by that time all of the adjustments that can be dramatically made have already been made. Very seldom does a team win game #5 and go up 3-2 and the other team miraculously figures out how to win (baring an injury or suspension).

If Houston wins Game #5 without Nene then chances are they will win the series. Now your question would be if Houston wins game #5 and then lose Harden for the last 2 games (Or SA wins and loses Kawhi) then that is were the variables come to play. But if Houston is healthy (winning game #5 matters)

Very broad because of variables, but good points. I hope we win and you are correct.

Rockets history against the Spurs in the playoffs - 1-0

Spurs history against the Rockets in the playoffs - 0-1

Get back to me when that changes.

:) Rockets vs Spurs in the playoffs tied 2-2 (Rockets are 2-0 winning game #5 both times) That was with Spurs having the better seed.

So I agree with you, history says we should win GAME #5

Damn, you know what? I didn't realize that we played them in the early 80's. Mostly because I was 1 year old when those series happened. Oh well, **** the Spurs.

Rockets are 3-0 against the Spurs in playoffs all time.

In my eyes Rockets have to win the next 2 games in a row to win the series, which should be very hard. Expect Spurs to win, would love to be surprised.

Great stats and I mean that sincerely. But history will not determine which team wins this series. The better executing team will. I have my money on the Rockets.

This is a simple series, if we're hitting shots, I mean everyone. It will be tough for the Spurs to win. If we are off, it's the Spurs all day. The NBA is simply a make or miss league. Everytime I see Anderson go to the rim I cringe, be blows more layups than a 5 year old on a 10ft rim
