Iverson's vertical is 40+ inches?

    I've always wondered what A.I.'s vertical leap is and today I was searching on google.com to see if I could find it. On 1 site, it said it was about 40-inches, and on another it said 44- inches. I doubt that either one of those is correct. I've never seen Iverson get up very high. I know that the claim that his vertical is 44-inches is totally wack, cause that's about what Stevie Franchise's is and I'm sure that A.I. can't get up as high as Franchise. I've never seen A.I. do a fancy dunk and I live in the Philadelphia area so I see the Sixers a lot on t.v. If he had a 40+ inch vertical, I'm sure he could do some nice dunks. I know he's on 6 flat. I'm pretty sure his vertical isn't over 40 inches.

    I very rarely see Iverson dunk with any authority. I'm not sure he's 6 foot either, maybe 5'10". If his vert is 40 inches, Stevie's is over 45.

    while I do not know the exact amount I have never seen anyone sky in a game like allen iverson...

    it was when he was with georgetown and they were playing against texas tech in the NCAA's...the rebound came off a missed shot and all the sudden this little guy flew over all the big guys and looked like he was on a trampoline...he dunked way over their heads and his nuts were in their mouths...it was crazy..

    the guy can really get up.. I still think he is better than francis..as much as I like francis i think AI has the complete package..we'll see how francis looks in a couple of years as its maybe too early to make that statement...

    Iverson probably doesn't reach his max vertical in games because he's always so beat up.

    Iverson doesn't reach his 'max vertical' of 40 inches because it's a lie.

    Francis could 360 his ass, bad ankle and all. Iverson has the speed, but not the hops.

    That's exactly correct. I was watching the Sixers game against the Celtics, and Eric Snow stole the ball, pass to A.I. who had no one within 50 feet of him. Iverson just did a little baby dunk. It didn't look like he got up high at all! Iverson is a thug! He wears his pants way to baggy and in the game against Boston last night, his pants fell down. HE'S A LOSER!

    I remember that dunk. And Iverson's vertical is pretty high. He is already about 4 inches shorter than Francis. And he cant jump as high, but I remember Francis' is somewhere around 44 or so. If Iverson's is 40, that would mean, combined with his height difference, that Francis can jump 8 inches higher than him. This is a lot. So dont be surprised if Iverson's is around 40.
