S: UTAustinAlert-Stabbing Update An unidentified suspect was apprehended for stabbing two subjects and assaulted at least one other. One of the victims has succumbed to their wounds. The subject is in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the campus community. We are still gathering details on this ongoing investigation and will provide new details as they unfold. Rumor going around that he was targeting people repping Greek life. Also unconfirmed bomb threat at Moody college of communication right now.

Glad you are safe. Sounds like they contained it pretty quickly. Hard to say because UTPD didn't communicate anything until 20 minutes after it happened.
S: UTAustinAlert-Stabbing Update Due to the violent attack on campus this afternoon and multiple buildings being closed, we are cancelling classes and events for the remainder of the afternoon and evening while the investigation is in progress. There is currently no ongoing threat on campus. We are in the process of collecting more information. We will provide additional information as available.
Not to make light of any of the news here but I wonder how many students were relieved to hear classes were cancelled being papers and presentations were due?
