We're in a "new era" of awards voting. People are just going to lock in to whatever story makes them feel the best. Similar to lots of other aspects of modern life, when you think about it.
Because he went 30-11 in the second half...ignoring the fact that he was also coach when they went 11-30 to start the season which means that he was terrible as a coach in the first half.
We're definitely in a unique position considering you could make the argument we should win MVP, Sixth Man of the Year, Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year. You could very easily make the case we have the frontrunner for all four awards. This is a good problem to have. File this under #FirstWorldProblems.
Harden knew he lost in 2015, and he killed it those playoffs, including some HUGE performances against Stephanie Curry's Whoreiors... other than that game 5 dud, but you can't win em all.
If the rockets cleared out for Harden to get all the rebounds, he would have averaged a triple-double as well.
ESPN is just like CNN, Fox news and others. The people who work for them will support their most popular narrative. IMO Harden is the MVP but Westbrook is the better story.
