Am I the only person who has more empathy for Animals then humans

    Think of it like this. They would eat you if they could.

    Think of it this way...

    If your father and his dog were drowning and a stranger could only save one... and they chose the dog... how would you feel?

    ..or your brother, or sister... mother.. daughter?

    Animals are simply animals. It's not a question of "innocence" or "sin". It's about humanity - and they don't have it.

    And if you think of animals as these innocent, harmless creatures, you don't know squat about nature (as someone else here mentioned). Two examples: link, link. Nature is harsh. Yes, dogs and cats are more domesticated than wild animals, but you know perfectly well that they all still have instincts to kill.

    What I find most disturbing about this is that there are people in this world with such high regard for animals and such low regard for humans that they value animal lives over humans. It shouldn't even be close. I suspect that those who value animal lives over a human's would probably reconsider their perspective quite quickly if they were to feel the panic of death strike them as they bleed out under the attack of an animal.

    I am disgusted by such a perspective.
