I'm dead serious when I say I think JJ redick would be better in klays spot on the gsw than klay.

He would end the inconsistency klay provides. He would move without the ball better. He would shoot at a higher %. His defense would be less but not significantly so considering how overated klay is.

Klay was in a slump at the beginning of the season. Not his usual self.

    Well, he still is.

    Klay in the last 7 games (since that 60 point game) : 18.6 PPG on 44.7 FG% / 29.8 3PT%

I have to keep reminding people to not be fooled by the single game explosion that Klay is so known for, and actually track how consistently he shows up throughout the entire season and in the playoffs. He's not a reliable scorer at all because of his extreme streakiness, which is one of the reasons why he will never succeed as the main go-to-guy. His current role in the GSW is as good as it gets for his career wise.

Not to sound like a homer but Gordon does arguably have a case of being as effective as Klay Thompson is on offense. Of course, defensively Klay will always take the tougher assignments which to his credit isn’t something Gordon does. However, offensively, Gordon is serving two very important functions of both acting as a good off-ball player when he plays with Harden and a shot creator when Harden is on the bench.

Klay Thompson might improve on effectiveness over the course of the season, and Gordon could reduce on his efficiency. However, at this point in time Gordon’s offensive impact is arguably as good and more important to Houston than Klay Thompson is to Golden State.

You can't argue with box score lurkers. Do not even argue with him because he clearly did not watch GS throughout the entire playoffs.
