    Was planning on putting this in the Wolverine thread, but due to all the JVG comments, thought it deserved it's own. I'll put a copy in the Wolverine, too, just for completeness.

    WARNING: Not safe for the "Bev's defense is overrated" crowd. Yule B cringing through most of these comments.

    Can definitely see why we're like 11-2 since he's come back. He literally does all the little things to win. Ariza and Bev really are great compliments to James.

    I think his knee was bothering him more than we knew - it seems he is his old self again, but with improved offense.....

    Heart and soul of this team. The vocal leader who makes all the small plays that don't reflect in the box score but show up as a W for the team

    It's possible his knee was hurting last year, but McHale/JB used him in a completely different way on both ends from 2013-2015 - I think that was the problem. On offense I could understand the reasoning, but on defense McHale/JB would have him zone the perimeter a lot and let his man by (by design) which to me isn't the best use of a skilled man-to-man defender.

    I'm not saying D'antoni came in and saved the day either, I'm saying the McHale/JB duo was completely incompetent.
