Well, Draymond added the 3pt play after one/two season and this is not the only, but certainly one of the reason why he's the player that he is. I don't understand why Trez shouldn't develop one aspect of his game which seems to have room to develop...i mean, is something more, not something less...if he learns to shoot the 3, it doesn't mean that he'll turn into a low effort guy...

I'm saying Montrezl is not Draymond. And with Harden, Gordon, Ariza, and Anderson being three point shooters, he doesn't need that. He is great at put backs and being a rebound threat. I understand what you are saying but there is no reason for him to develop the three.

I don't understand why a player shouldn't not expand his game if he can, i mean, Draymond wasn't this Draymond before he learned to shoot the 3, before he got his minutes and before he developed his court vision...i'm not saying that Trez will be the next Green if he develops a 3pt shot obviously, but why he shouldn't if he can? This doesn't make sense to me...being able to shoots one/two threes per game wouldn't take away other things about his game, it would just make him a more complete and dangerous player giving him the chance to also play two spots...

Well he is shooting a little less than 30% percent this year and does not add that towards his team's winning this season. Teams don't need 4 players shooting threes. Makes their interior play lesson when everyone is shooting threes. Montrezl doesn't need the three if he can rebound and score in the paint. He adds what Anderson can not. And what Rockets need.

The warriors play by play announcer said teams are looking for their version of draymond green and mentioned montrez could fill that role for the rockets.

Yupp, he had the play that sealed the game imo

Charge on Curry to foul him out

This is such a binary undertaking.

    We don't need "our Draymond"

We need Montrezl to maximize his role and build on his skills.

If many of those skills are similar to what Green does, great. But we need him to be solid at the things he can do for OUR team, not pigeonhole him into trying to be like Green.

I was just about to say this. Lost a lot of faith in him in preseason, but very glad to be proven wrong so far.

Montrez had a nice outing against Golden State again last year.

And I remember saying the exact same thing - he's shown he deserves more minutes.

Low and behold he was buried on the bench more than ever.

Hopefully with a head couch who understands the game of basketball - the effort gets rewarded this time around.

There's over a hundred million reasons for him to develop the three.

^^ Yes very big play. I'm really surprised he even got that call even though that was a great awareness and timing on Harrell's part.
