Dude I am not Chinese or Asian but the Wall for them is a symbol of their ancient past. Brown should have shown some respect to that.
Chalking that big of a deal? I did this at my own buddhist society as a kid. They didn't seem to mind...
He wrote in chalk so it is debatable how much harm was done. However he should have known that the Chinese are extremely insecure and would be angered. Honestly, the Chinese are famous for destroying sacred **** in other countries as tourists. Bobby Brown did the right thing apologizing and kissing China's ass.... he knows where his next payday is coming from.
I think what he did was somewhat insensitive. Ignorance is not an excuse, but I think that is really what this boils down to. He should either go and scrub it off as a user joked, or issue an apology stating that he did not mean to offend. Ultimately, we do not need to piss off any of our Chinese fan base over training camp fodders mistake. I am sure if there is actually a significant uproar, Les and Morey will get PR on it fast.
Not saying he did the right thing, but.... http://www.nbcnews.com/business/travel/china-creating-designated-graffiti-zones-great-wall-n50046 https://www.google.com/search?q=gre...hUKEwiGx7WG6dbPAhWHzz4KHYb4DHcQ_AUIBigB&dpr=1
As an NBA player he is caught up into the US News cycle and agenda. The previous times he did it the news didn't make it over here.
He didn't know. He saw other writings on the wall so he assumed that it was normal. The apology was needed since he did mess up, but being this mad over chalk is a little funny. It's not like he took a hammer or something and broke off a piece of the Wall as a souvenir lol.
