Huh? He has perfect health history besides this back injury. What you talking about, bro?

His games played by season: 44, 62, 71, 37. The 44 is rookie season DNP-CDs, but otherwise he's missed 11+ games every year of his career, and played in just 69% of possible games in the last three seasons.

Just to be clear he was not in the rotation as much in year 2 either. Year 3 is when he blossomed and got regular playing time.

He has had one injury - and he should be healed from that.

You guys are making way to much of a typical contractual situation, this happened to Carl Landry too - Morey has Dmo by the short hairs, either you accept the QO, or a small 2 year offer.

The only way this changes is if teams are willing to offer big money for him and the Rockets are forced into a decision - and teams KNOW the Rockets would match a reasonable offer so they would have to go big, which is a risk for them as DMo has had one good season and is coming off a back injury.

So, here we are - stuck in purgatory with Dmo probably frustrated, but it is what it is....he is going to have to find a team to up the offer, or sign the QO and become an UFA next year when the cap goes up again, and his status health wise is more clear.

I'm not trying to make out like he's Derrick Rose or anything, and your point on his role in year 2 is taken.

He just hasn't proven yet to be reliably there for an 82 game season. I'm happy to bring him back at a good price, just not to anoint him a key piece yet.

Show us where DMo has expressed frustration over the dollar value of contract offers or where him or his agent have griped about the canceled trade killing his contract value, Dada.

This is not Carl Landry all over again.

Actually his agent and Dmo thought about legal action against Detroit if you recall.

So, yes, this is similar to Carl Landry - even if the agent is more of a "Behind the scenes" guy than Landry's was - in fact the situations are strikingly similar.

Carl Landry didn't have a back injury and have a trade rescinded due to it. Teams are obviously scared off by a back injury and a brief flash a brilliance.

Landry was a rookie, though. Only played 40-some games. They are very similar in that DM had the power and made Landry get an offer sheet which took all summer for a great deal for the rockets -- well under MLE with a team option 3rd year

Actually he had knee problems from his time at Purdue - and he also had a brief flash of brilliance, the situations are pretty close - not identical, none are, but the contractual situations are very close.

Again we should not be surprised by where we're at on this. Bad for DMo but it is what it is.

That was in FEBRUARY Dada. Before free agency. We have heard nothing of the sort all summer. Not a peep.

of course we haven't heard anything about suing. Because it was ridiculous. The nba teams were withing their rights to have the player take a physical and it wasn't the first time a trade was rescinded because of that. If Luc Mbah a Moute couldn't sue the Kings then DMO ofc can't take any kind of legal action against the Pistons. LMAO.
Other than that it means nothing.

Look, there would be plenty of talk from DMo's camp this summer if he was getting stiffed. There hasn't been a word. His money it's waiting for him.

Again, Landry didn't have a trade rescinded due to an injury. I would imagine back injuries are more concerning than knee injuries given DMo's back injury is said to be one that will flare up and require maintenance.

His money? You mean the QO? It's less likely what you are saying is going to happen the further this drags out.

What's BJ Armstrong and DMo supposed to say to the media, "No one is giving us offers that we like, so we are pissed at Morey for it, and we are going to sue Detroit if no one gives us what we want."

Then all GMs be like, "DMo value confirmed."

I don't recall Landry or his agent whining publicly, either.

Why are you fighting the facts of Landry. He didn't sign until Sept 20th (or so), because he had little leverage as an RFA to get what he wanted, due to hard to measure value. And that's the only comparison we are making.

Landry didn't need an injury. He was coming off a rookie year where he showed flashes of good play in 40-some games. His value was equally unknown to DMo's 4yrs of higher quality play than Landry's rookie season. So, the devaluing of DMo due to injury is coming from a Higher Level of Play than Landry had shown yet. They become nearly equal.

And that's what we are seeing.
