I'm curious how long it took for the site to grow, and how people found the site to begin with. How long did it take to reach 100 members?
As a 96'er, let me just say it was way better back then. It wasn't till the 99'ers started showing up that things really started going downhill.
Huge day for the site and its crazy to think its been 20 years. I remember when I first stumbled upon the sites years ago with my dial-up modem and how its been there through my high school, college, and now my immature adult years. Congrats Clutch, Jeff, R2k, Dr of Dunk and the rest of the Clutch Crew! (also congrats for Mrs. Clutch for allowing Clutch to spend so much time on develop this great community)
Ditto. I'm 90% sure that my managers know I'm on here all day, and are waiting for me to f*** up so they can use it against me in their argument to get me fired. And yet, here I am all the same.
Congrats on a wonderful 20 years, Clutch!! I cannot begin to thank you enough for what you offer and allow us to be a part of. Thank you Clutch, Mods, Crew and all the fans that frequent this site.
Happy Birthday Clutch (City) Fans! Thanks for all you've put into the site over the years Clutch and Crew. Best site on the web.
Congratulations, Clutch!!! It is, by far, my favorite and most frequented site. On a side note, I just reached my 10th year as a member. I was lurking from around late '04/early '05 before signing up. I was searching for Rockets trade rumors since rockets.com and other sports sites lacked such content. All I remember from when I first visited was how much people wanted JVG gone and the Chinese articles.
I wish I could say I'd been here since the beginning, but I didn't find the site until September of '96. I'm still waiting for the next Super Mario's World article, and I'd also like to know the identity of the mysterious original "Clutch Crew" member known simply as "The Programmer"
Thank you, Clutch. One of the best fan forums on the planet. Now we need to see our team win a championship in the clutch fans era.
